Design Comps

Desktop Redesign Directions

Three upgraded directions for the web app, each a live HTML comp you can open full-screen. They are deliberately different in mood and in what they put first — pick one as the north star, or combine (a common outcome: Direction 1's marketing site with Direction 2's logged-in app).

Direction 1 — Celestial Atelier

Dark luxury editorial. Treats Lumenal like a maison: serif display type, gold-on-midnight, animated starfield, the eight belief systems presented as a curated collection, and the Solar Return Report positioned as a signature offering. Best for the logged-out marketing site and for justifying premium pricing.

Direction 2 — Sanctuary Light

Warm, calm, wellness-grade. Keeps the current ivory/sage/gold light palette but rebuilds the logged-in home as a widget dashboard: today's transit as the hero, moon phase, quick actions, recent readings and journey progress. Closest evolution of what exists today — lowest redesign risk, and it matches the mobile design strategy doc token-for-token.

Direction 3 — The Observatory

Data-forward personal cosmos. Makes the interactive natal chart the center of the product: placements on the left, the living chart wheel with transit overlays in the middle, a seven-day "sky feed" on the right that connects transits to actions (rituals, readings, shop items). This is the direction that makes Lumenal feel like a tool you check daily, not just a reading generator.

Recommendation

Suggested pairing

Use Celestial Atelier for the logged-out marketing surface and Sanctuary Light as the logged-in default, with The Observatory built as the "Chart" section rather than the whole app. This keeps the premium brand, the calm daily experience, and the retention tool without betting the redesign on any single mood. The open questions this raises are captured on the Decisions page.
